GÉANT ENDORMI (SLEEPING GIANT)

Two years ago, the distinguished French publisher, Frédéric Pajak of Les Cahiers Dessinés, wrote me to express an interest in publishing a book of my ink drawings. He and a writer, Callisto McNulty, came to New York that autumn to discuss the project and select the pictures. We spent the last two years working on the book and now it's out.

With 200 drawings, the book is 9 inches by 11, with heavy paper and perfect printing. The images on the pages are as close to the original drawings as I've ever seen in a commercially published book. The text and the titles are in French. Some sample pages...

For those who've asked about where to order the book, the best bet for an English language site would seem to be Amazon UK. They ran out of books the first day, but they're taking orders. A French site – Mallot – has an English language option via Google Translate. The publisher’s website – Les Cahiers Dessinés  – has other options in French. And for the Italian language, there’s Amazon.it.
