I’ve done a great deal of editorial work, book covers, posters, packaging, puzzles and a picture book that’s called An Eye for Color, which received A JLG selection, ALA notable, California Reading Association Eureka! Honor Book Award, and was a 2009 Smithsonian Notable Book.
At this time I’m working for publisher Cameron Kids on the illustrations for Herbert & Dorothy: The Story of a Postal Clerk and a Librarian and Their Extraordinary Collection of Art by Jackie Azúa Kramer. Publication is slated for fall 2021.
My work has appeared in these awards annuals multiple times; the Society of Illustrators (NY), Communication Arts, 3x3, American Illustration, the Society of Illustrators (SILA), 100 Illustrators as chosen by Steven Heller and Julius Wiedemann. My work has most recently been featured on the cover of the Society of Illustrators Annual 60. Honoured with a gold medal for editorial work in 2010, from the Society of Illustrators in New York.
I’ve been a part-time faculty member at Sheridan College since 2003 and have given numerous lectures and workshops.
